Born to teenage parents in Central Illinois, my formative years were shaped by love, sports, academic pursuits, and cherished friendships. As my parents' marriage ended in divorce during my early teens, my childhood took on a new dynamic. My father, a dedicated law enforcement officer known for his unwavering resolve, remained a strong presence in my life. Meanwhile, my mother, an administrator and devoted follower of her Southern Baptist faith, instilled in me principles of discipline and acceptance. However, at the age of 16, my mother awoke partially paralyzed and was diagnosed with MS, she would fight for 10 years before passing. ? Seeking a transformative path, I felt drawn to the Nuclear Engineering program within the US Navy, embarking on a decade-long journey of service. Five of those years were spent aboard the submarine USS Annapolis. Towards the conclusion of my military career, I became involved with the Special Warfare recruiting team, contributing to the training and preparation of aspiring candidates striving to endure the exacting challenges of programs such as BUDS, fueling my passion for fitness and nutrition. ? In 2010, I embraced a new chapter as a full-time CrossFit coach and athlete, immersing myself completely in this domain. I returned to my roots in Illinois and established my own gym on the North Shore of Chicago. Over nearly a decade of coaching, I had the honor of leading a range of individuals; including professional athletes, first responders, grandparents, children, and incredible humans from all walks of life. ? The past eight years, I've been working in the corporate world. Initially assuming the role of a brand ambassador for a Sleep-Tech Company, I gradually progressed to a sales position. Subsequently, I seized opportunities with two startups. The first is an Ed-Tech startup out of Silicon Valley, and the second an audacious journey with an Accelerator in Austin.
