Per minuteI am 53 and originally from the Detroit suburbs. I attended Michigan State University and graduated with a degree in Communications, majoring in Advertising. Upon graduation in 1992 I relocated to Chicago where I began to work in the mortgage business as a residential loan officer. I spent the next 30 years in that field holding a number of position including having owned a small mortgage brokerage between 2000 and 2010. I was married in 1996 and divorced in 2017. I have one son who is now 25. He graduated from DePaul University with a masters in applied mathematics. He is currently in flight school and will likely become a commercial airline pilot. He a brilliant young man... I tell everyone that he was smarter than me by the time he turned 10. I never remarried but shortly after my divorce I found my true love, her name is Hope. I eventually left Chicago and relocated to St. Joseph Michigan. I continued to work in banking until February of 2022. At which time I choose to leave the industry. After almost 3 decades, the last 7 of which were very unpleasant; I felt as if I had lost all passion for the work I was doing. I then made the decision to retire from the industry all together and reinvent myself. I'm not sure yet what the new me will look like exactly. What I can tell you is that I very much enjoy solving problems and talking out solutions with people. The idea of coaching and consulting people gives me energy and fulfillment. By nature, I'm an introvert and never enjoyed parties with more strangers than friends. I have always been fit and enjoy working out daily. In 2016 I competed in an amateur physique and bodybuilding competition. Proud to say I took first place in two of the four events and a second and fourth place in the remaining. That said, I'm not a competitive person. I simply enjoy training and was encouraged by friends to enter the event. For the past year Hope and I have been touring the country in our motorhome. We have a maltese named Koda whome we absolutely love. I've had other dogs as pets but none have ever captured my love more than Koda, he is truly an angel and has helped me through some of my most challenging parts of life. I am a recovering Alcoholic and have been sober since September 25, 2001. Most of my friends are not alcoholic but I have sponsored and guided many newcomers into the program. I'm typically not concerned about divulging or discussing my sobriety. However, I only share that with people if it becomes relevant. I'm excited to see what comes of being a cyberfriend and I hope people will reach out to me if anything in my bio resonates.
