I am a former history teacher, now turned Uber/Lyft driver. I live in Orlando, Florida and I am back in school studying UI/UX design. Florida does not treat teachers well so I was laid off in budget cuts. When school districts have to make tough choices, they tend to cut history, civics and geography. You can not touch stem, and GOD forbid you touch sports. But that is life. You cannot be a victim. Both the left and Right in this country have become victims. I was born in America, however my parents were born in Nigeria, so I grew up with a no excuse mentality, thus my career change into UI/UX design. You have to adapt. In the meantime, I am Ubering to make ends meet.
