I am a licensed nurse here in the Philippines. I currently work as a school nurse and mental health activist. Mental health awareness raises awareness of the effects that mental illness has on people's lives, informs people about the services that are available, and emphasizes advocacy strategies. I am aware that the pressure from others around us and the strain in our environment causes mental suffering in each of us. We require a confidante with whom we can share both difficult and joyful times. I think talking to someone helps you be more productive every day.
