Hi, my name is Yolanna I am a former residential care home aide for the mentally challenge. I’d work for the Babcock company for about 10 years. The basics of my job was to be a constant in my residents life. I would help them with reminders of taking their medicine. I would also help them with grooming, household chores, weekly shopping. We would have daily conversations that could help them with their friends at work. This would help them with their relationship with having friends and knowing how to communicate with them. Other than that, I enjoy cooking at times, movies, crocheting, and making bracelets. I find it coloring by number on my iPad gives me a sense of focus and helps a great deal.
