Hello, my name is Mac McClendon and I am a proud US veteran. I served in the U.S. Navy for 8 years before being honorably discharged. After my service, I found myself drawn to the unique culture of Japan and decided to make it my home. I immersed myself in the language and customs and have been living here for over 20 years. But, as much as I love Japan, my passion has always been football. When I discovered the X-League Football League, I was immediately intrigued. Despite the language barrier and cultural differences, I was determined to play for one of the teams. Fortunately, my talent and dedication did not go unnoticed and I was offered a spot on the Unisys Bulls team. Since joining the X-League, I have been proud to represent my team and my country as a player. I have even picked up some of the languages along the way and have grown to love the unique blend of American and Japanese football that is played here. While my path has been anything but typical, I am grateful for the experiences that have led me to where I am today. I am proud to be a US veteran living in Japan and playing for the X-League Football League, representing the best of both worlds.
