Chris is a board-certified Emergency Room Nurse Practitioner with the American Academy of Emergency Nurse Practitioners. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Biology and Nursing at the University of Texas - Pan American in Edinburg, Texas and received my Master’s degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner at Charles Drew University in Los Angeles, California. Sitting for The ENP certification examination is a competency-based examination with specialty education and practice in emergency care. I completed a post-masters certification in Trauma/Emergency Care at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston. Prior to becoming an Emergency Room Nurse Practitioner, he worked as an emergency room nurse at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance, a trauma facility in the lower Rio Grande Valley, and at Houston Methodist. I received my clinical training as a nurse practitioner in Houston, Texas, and grew a passion for preventive medicine in primary care in both pediatric and adult populations, urgent care, emergency medicine, and aesthetics.
