BIOGRAPHY- AMADOU NYANG Amadou Nyang is a vibrant youth leader, a peace champion, a development enthusiast, an educationist, a change maker and impact creator who has spent his entire life in the quest to create a better society for all. He is currently the Outreach Officer for Peace Hub the Gambia and an active member of the America International University Students Union. To Amadou, every young person is a special resource to the world and should be empowered, supported and explored. Amadou’s change making initiatives and engagements gained prominence through extracurricular activities in High School as he served as Class Ambassador at Sukuta Junior and Senior Secondary School where he provided leadership and guidance for his fellow students to ensure an effective learning space and process. He went ahead to become co-founder of the Sukuta Junior and Senior Secondary School Press club, where he served as auditor, before becoming the Assistant Headboy of the School. As a believer of the use of Education as a tool for change, Mr. Nyang served as Teacher from 2017 to 2020 where he imparted a lot of knowledge into the minds of the youngsters before and after being trained and awarded the Higher Teachers’ Certificate at the Gambia College School of Education. He served as Deputy Secretary General in the Legacy Election Observation Mission. Amadou has been in the frontline of many youth led peace initiatives and projects, where he immensely contributed towards the planning, implementation and supervision of peace and conflict resolution activities. As Outreach Coordinator of Peace Hub the Gambia, Amadou has been a pivotal figure in the engagement of communities, schools and relevant stakeholders to propagate the mindset of peace, diversity and tolerance, whiles identifying means of preventing conflict but as well means of resolving conflict where they occur. He is a firm believer of the concept of acting it right when the time is right, one of the reason he would not sit and let anything go wrong. Amadou has not only been proactive in the work he does, but he as well commands great leadership and responsibility that attracts the admiration of a lot of youngsters. He is seen by many as role model who set the pace in efficiency and will go a long in contributing towards the transformation of our societies as the world yearns. \
