Greetings possible new friend……let’s keep the cyber part out, if we end up talking we’re gonna be friends, period. I have lots of online friends I’ve never met before…..big deal…..they are still my friends. Now that we got that covered, I gotta say I’m really excited about this The reasons might surprise you why, and it’s definitely much more than a side hustle. So a little about me, I’m 57 with 5 kids from my ex, and 2 kids with wife no 2. Made it 17 years with no. 1, and going on 17 years with No. 2. And there for a while I didn’t think we’d make it. I damn near got a tattoo on my forehead that says, “proceed with caution, expires in 17 years” But I’m determined and believe this one will succeed but damn it was a bitch to get that point. Unlike my 1st marriage where I was a man whore for 17 years, I’ve been faithful the second time around and married nearly 20 years younger……..what the hell was I thinking In any event I love to write, and I’m seriously thinking about writing a book on what I believe you should do to make it. At the same time write another book on what NOT to do if you go through a divorce. I’ve been a pretty successful businessman over the years, but my problem is not making money, it’s holding on to it I’ve started several businesses, even sold one to a private equity group in Okc for a good chunk of money, how the hell I don’t have much to show for it is unreal, you would’n believe me if I told you how much I had in my account two years ago. I think maybe it’s because I never really pursued my true love and that’s playing live music and being a recording artist, which I’ve done the last 30 years. If we become friends I’ll send you some videos of my band, I have 100’s, I’m the drummer and I love being on stage more than anything but I never really rolled the dice to try to really pursue it. Wives, kids and bills get in the way, but i brought them into the world, and I’m not a deadbeat so they will always come first. Anyway, if you like live music you’ll like this group I’m in and I look forward to your feedback! We really are one helluva rock and roll band. Anyway, other than music I love disc golf golf, it’s my other favorite thing besides music I had two hole in ones at the same hole from 300 feet…..there’s nothing like hearing those chains rattle. I gave up real golf for disc golf——why you ask? Glad you asked.. Normal golf costs 75.00, 6 hours of my life is gone, and I’m usually in a foul ass mood when I’m done. Disc golf is free, only takes 2 hours, I can bring my Great Dane, and I’m usually in a good mood when done…….no brainer to me. All that said, my mom always said I would make friends with the telephone pole, and she reminds me of the story of when I brought a hitchhiker home for Thanksgiving one year when I lived in Louisiana……..where I was born a Cajun. I’m a full blood Texas Redneck now and the only thing I miss about Baton Rouge is the food. Enough about me. I could use some new friends anyway, the ones I have now have been a pretty big let down
