Being a medical student trying to pursue side hustles has been the most exciting journey I have ever been on. I get to wear scrubs during the day, and fold behind my pen and paper when the stars begin to settle. It's so liberating being a young black woman taking ownership of her destiny, breaking protocol and bending societal norms.
