hi all! my name is mara, and i work as a freelance writer in the field of international journalism. - over the past two years, i’ve visited 15 countries and territories spanning over three different continents. i’m passionate about people, and i love the process of expanding my mind and viewpoint through cultural immersion. i usually spend 1-3 months in each destination. - as a 21 year-old, i (hopefully) have a lot more travel to look forward to in the future.☺️ - writing is my favorite interest overall, but poetry is a genre special to my heart.? - i also enjoy outdoor activities— hiking, snorkeling, jet skiing, playing soccer, going on walks, sunset watching, or hanging on the beach. - on my lazy days, i’ll read anything, even if it’s a 30-page article in fine print about bioluminescence plankton in st. croix?? - my favorite tv show is rick and morty. can you tell i’m 4/20 friendly??i also binge-watch the simpsons, criminal minds, you (on netflix, i’m obsessed), and castle! i am here above all to listen to you! i am a very empathetic, non-judgmental person. i tend to give educated advice if you want it, but i’ll never force it on you, either. i’ve seen a lot of trauma, adversity, and pain, and it brings me joy to help people through their struggles. there have been many times in my life where i felt alone and just wanted a friend. that feeling is valid, and shouldn’t bring shame. i’d be honored to be your cyberfriend?
