Per minuteI’m a 57-year-old father of two grown children and I offer depression coaching. The value of professional mental healthcare cannot be overstated, and medications are oftentimes necessary. I am not a doctor. Lifelong sufferers with depression skillsets augment professional treatment. I deliver information in a direct manner so five minutes each week will do unless you want more time. Movement toward a greater state of relief can occur through the implementation of strategies to decontaminate your psychic environment and improve self-care. It’s similar to climbing out of a deep hole one step upward at a time. Before long it gets lighter and the air is fresher. The process is a function of manual control and focused effort. My way out of suffering occurred using this method, but it took over two decades to perfect it. Individual situations are unique. Every day is unique. The result for me has been something superior to not having the problem to begin with. Medication mitigates the physiology. I can help with the rest. Below is a condensed overview of the issue as I see it: Depressed persons are at war with an unrelenting natural force few others can see. It underlies addictions, child abusing, poor work performance, relationship malfunctions, financial problems and various other maladaptive behaviors. People who suffer to the edge of their wits make poor choices. Most of what is commonly understood about depression is centered on its disastrous aftereffects being used as entertainment on shows like Oprah, Dr. Phil, Judge Judy, Maury Povich and Hoarders. Some people find the act of looking into the gaping maw of insanity entertaining. These people are an external component of this natural force being a source of subtle irritation or psychic noise. It adds up. They haven’t suffered a day in their lives and are the ones who order depressed persons to ‘cheer up’ as if depression were a dumb choice. If they had to spend a day in our heads they would be crying for their mothers by lunchtime. Problems stemming from depression have little to do with how much cash is on hand. Rich celebrities have taken their own lives because it’s impossible to buy a way out of it. Enormous wealth only amplifies the problem like raising the volume on your phone. Those who try to buy a way out can become hoarders and ruin their finances. Depression management is a skill that can be perfected like any other and mastery is achievable.
