Ravi Shankar S.

Hello, my name is S. Ravi Shankar. I was born on the 22nd of December in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. I have a strong background in Fine Arts, specializing in Graphic Design and Print-making. I earned my diploma from the Government College of Arts & Crafts in Chennai in 1982. Over the years, I've had the privilege of attending workshops in various countries, such as Hong Kong and Germany, to further enhance my skills in color pre-press and print-making. Additionally, I had the wonderful opportunity to work in Edinburgh Printmakers and the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne in the United Kingdom, thanks to the Charles Wallace Trust award I received for my print-making. As an artist, I've had the honor of participating in numerous solo and group exhibitions across different countries, including the United Kingdom, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, and Egypt, among others. My work has been recognized with prestigious awards, including the National Award from Lalit Kala Akademi in New Delhi. I've also been actively involved in the art community and served as an elected member for the Southern Region in Lalit Kala Akademi General Council. My passion for art continues to drive me, and I believe that art has the power to express emotions, connect people, and convey powerful messages.
