Hello, new friend, and thank you for reading...you are a curious soul! Long story short--I'm a retiree up here in northern New England, where we just about freeze to death every winter. My friends say I'm down to earth, am truly empathetic, and have a great sense of humor. And while my master's degree was in counseling and psychology, I am NOT practicing therapy. Rather, I'm simply listening deeply to you and offering support. I have no advice unless you specifically ask for a different viewpoint on something. I've worked in a human services organization for year w/ the developmentally disabled, prior to which I sold cars (loved it!!), and owned a good sized, in fact, quite large, bakery/cafe in the Washington, DC area. Similar to a very large Starbucks, but just a little bit before their time. Like every other human being on planet earth, I have flaws, and of course I've had my ups and downs--again, similar to you, perhaps. Relationships, finances, moral and spiritual issues, a full spectrum of emotions, including the extremes, of course. The great human experience. I was married for years, but no longer. We remain friends, and frankly, I still love her! Hope that's not too much TMI!! On a more granular level, of course I have my daily challenges...how am I going to get this or that done, or do something for this or that person, will I be on time, are my angels supporting me, should I pursue or leave a certain relationship. Again, full spectrum. I am not religious, but deeply spiritual, and approach life w/ an "attitude of gratitude." I am forgiving and work hard not to be judgmental. Case in point, my car was stolen recently. Of course I forgave him, why not? Lastly, a couple other things about me--I'm quite involved socially, and am on the board of two nonprofits in our community, one of which serves seniors, and one of which serves the entire community. To me, everyone, everything, every event or non event is a miracle, and I thank the Divine every day as it flows through me. Hey, I better stop now or this is going to turn into a book!! Whether you contact me or not, I wish nothing but all good things for you: health, relationships, abundance, a sense of peace, joy, and an almost constant smile in your heart. Let's talk sometime. Oh, by the way, I am no stranger to professional ethics....our conversation stays with me. Period.
