Per minuteHi! I'm Alcides, from Paraguay, the heart of South America right between Brazil and Argentina. I was born in Brazil, but I'm actually 100% Paraguayan because my father was on a diplomatic mission in Brazil when I was born. I lived my first years in Asunción, Paraguay. Then, I lived in Springflied VA, US for aorund 3 years because of my father's work also. It was a great time where I mastered English (I studied a little bit in my bilingual school before going). I went to elemantary school and made great friends! I really treasure my memories from those years, even though I was very young. The only regret is that we didn't have social media back then like we do now, so I couldn't keep in touch with my friends. After coming back to my country, I continued studying in the same bilingual school, and I also went to military highschool. After highschool, I wasn't really sure about studying medice or law in college. I went to law school in the end. Meanwhile, I took up teaching English as suggested by a former teacher. I figured, why not? I could practice English and earn some money. I turned up loving it, and never gave it up. I also learned a lot in the process from students. After I graduated from college, I worked for law firms as I continued teaching English. I also majored in university teaching to become a professor. A few years back, I quit my law firm job and started working on my own, taking some cases. It's fun and challenging at the same time.During the pandemic, when we couldn't leave to work, I found the oportunity to work from home as a remote worker. I worked with an American law firm. I've also looked for other ways to generate income online. I am a fun person! I to talk a lot! I'm really a people person. That's why I have lots of friends. I really like to listen to them. Whenever I have a problem, I like to tell my friends about it and listen to different opinions about it so as to see it from different points of view. I like music (pop, rock, dance, electronica, some latin music, and Paraguayan music). I also like to read. I'm a big fan of history, I could talk about that for hours! I also enjoy talking about social phenomena and society in general (how humans interact). I also enjoy traveling a lot! Although I haven't done much of it just yet. There are beautiful places to visit here in my country, a lot of nature still. Next we have Argentina and Brazil, which I visited a lot, specially in the summer to go to the beach (Paraguay is a landlock country unfortunately). Of course when we were living in the States we went to lots of places. We traveled around the east coast, from NY city to Florida. The west coast is on my bucket list for now. The longest trip I took was to Dubai, where one of my best friends works as a flight attendant. From there I was able to make my golden dream come true and visited Egypt and Greece (Rome was also part of that dream, but it was left for another day). That was very recent so I got tons of pics of it! I speak English, Spanish, and Guarani (the second official language in my country) as my native tounges. Although some people don't consider English as my native language since I was not born in an English speaking country, I've been in touch in it as long as I can remember, even before I could speak Spanish properly. That's why I consider it a native language. I would also like to learn other languages in the future, like French, Italian, Chinese, and maybe Arabic. Hope to hear from you and we can have really nice chats!
