I am a beautiful hardworking young lady from Africa. The vision to run a nonprofit organization for people born with disabilities was born shortly after my personal experience and encounter in 2011. Honestly, I didn't know how to proceed, as I had no experience nor degree related to that area of Special Education . It took me another 7 years to fully embrace this calling. I made a significant shift from banking and finance, which was my first degree, and pursued Special Needs Education up to the Masters level. I didn't stop there; currently, I am working towards acquiring a PhD in the same field of Special Education. It's not a coincidence that I started this foundation now; it went through a process called "time." I'm thrilled that my "baby," - BORN UNIQUE DOWN SYNDROME FOUNDATION, is officially registered. As a mother to a young daughter born with a disability, I can tell you that catering to her emotionally, mentally, physically, psychologically, and financially has not been an easy task. Consequently, I am dedicating my life to help children in similar situations. This foundation is solely a nonprofit organization, and targets towards making life easier for the disabled children. Please, we are relying on your financial, educational, medical, and material support to bring smiles to the hearts, minds, and faces of people with disabilities and poverty-stricken families in our rural and urban communities. The foundation will primarily rely on fundraising and sponsorship from good-spirited individuals, philanthropists, mosques, organizations, celebrities, churches, samaritans, private and governmental agencies like you, to bring relief and financial support to the disabled communities, both intellectual and physical disabilities. Your donation will go towards, paying school fees for the special needs people from very poor homes, paying for speech therapy , physiotherapy and occupational therapy, Heart surgeries , Eye cataract surgeries, building a center for skill acquisitions , school structure, rehabilitation centers, Paying for medical bills, feeding scheme, clothing, shoes, school bags and stationaries .
