I’ve spent a lot of time in shops where the air is thick with the sound of grinders and the smell of ozone. In those spaces, people usually come to me with a problem they can’t quite name. They’ll say, 'It just doesn't feel right,' or 'There’s a shudder when I hit the high end,' or 'I need this machine to last, but I don't know why it keeps failing.' What I’ve realized is that I don’t just enjoy t
