As a person who has experienced major trauma from childhood abuse, to combat in Afghanistan I have experienced first hand the best and worst that life and humanity can offer. I suffered greatly from feeling alone with no one to understand what I was going through. This taught me compassion and empathy for others who are or feel alone in this life.
