HI! My name is Kimberly, I'm a 41 year-old woman who loves to talk and meet new people. I've led an interesting life -- I spent 20 years in IT as a programmer, which allowed me the opportunity to travel to 5 continents and 45 countries. Three years ago, I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. It was a severe shock, there were no warning symptoms; one day I was fine and the next I was in the ER. Since then I have had to step away from full-time work, so I have a very flexible schedule :) I didn't graduate college, but I am intelligent and well-read. I particularly enjoy debating philosophy, and keeping up on discoveries in science and medicine. I consider myself a "casual Buddhist" (I was lucky enough to attend a week-long event led by the Dalai Lama some years ago, it was amazing). I am politically liberal, and generally optimistic but with a morbid streak (I believing in facing fears in order to take away their power), and an aspiring novelist. I enjoy surrealism in art and literature, and my humor tends towards the Monty Python vein. I would love to spend time discussing whatever interests you -- there is always something to learn from everyone, I believe (although I will admit my interest in sports is somewhat limited).
