Hello world! My name is Em and I am a peopleoholic. I love people and I love stories, and these two are inherently connected as every person comes with a myriad of stories which, ultimately, we all want to share in one form or another! To me humankind is absolutely awe-inspiring, each individual intrinsically magic and most valuable. Born half a century ago, with a smile on my face and sunny disposition, I'm unashamedly an 80s kid who danced to Kylie's Locomotion when it was released, and my glass is always half-full. Primary to my life: I adore my son and dogs. My interests? First and foremost, I'm a sucker for a story! I enjoy listening to people recount tales from their lives, and I frequently find that "truth is stranger [and more awesome] than fiction". Being a sucker for a story also means I savour a broad spectrum of movies, music, performance art and popular art (well, the people's art - all the wonderfully varied ways people are creative) - which are all ways that someone is telling a story. Painting and sewing are two of my favourite hobbies, often combined in hand-painted bags. Who knows - I may branch out to clothing! I love my sunny South Africa - all inclusive of people, fauna, flora and sublime scenery. Walking amongst the grasses and swimming are keen pastimes, and there's so much more - come find out! So... what am I doing here? I'm a companion to folks of various ages in my neck of the woods and love the idea of being a virtual companion to folks all around our beautiful globe.
