Thai wife so spend 50% of my time "at home" in Thailand in the middle of a rice field in a very rural northeast Thailand - peaceful bliss until the temple gong starts going off and the village head comes over the loudspeakers at 06:00!! Love Thai culture and the community spirit within the village we live. Love to travel but hate airports and resent being treated like cattle - I am old enough to remember when flying was glamorous and exciting, now it is just a chore and something to be endured to get where you're going.
