I'm a big bearded hug machine. My wife and I have raised two wonderful kids and are working on the third. We've considered kicking her out too, but since she's only six, we've decided to let her stick around for awhile. I'm 48, and have spent my entire 25 year career working as a social worker helping families with children. In addition, I have taught English, Political Science, History, and management courses at a local private college for several years. My academic background includes undergraduate degrees in Criminal Justice and Social work as well as graduate degrees in English and Political Science with a specialty in Human Resource Management. I recently finished building our home on a horse property out in the country. I loved the experience, and enjoyed everything that went with it. I'm fairly adept at all the standard vocational skills; carpentry, electrical, plumbing, welding, framing, etc., and love to work with my hands. I also enjoy writing, though to date, I've not applied myself to anything I would deem worthy of publication. Finally, and perhaps most of all, I love people. We are all such an amazing amalgamation of choices and consequences, ambitions and interests, traumas and triggers. I have never met anyone I didn't find fascinating, and there is nothing I enjoy quite as much as a good conversation.
