When I was younger I used to have pen pal and there was no internet yet or chat platforms to utilized in connecting friends. Its all snail mail. Post office channel. I must say Im quite blessed and lucky in terms of having real great friends who are there for me through thick and thin. Some are friends since we were children, some are in high scjool and college and some are in my workplace. Anywhere, I feel that I have a family. People say the reason I am quite lucky and blessed in friends because I am a real friend to count on too. When I decided to stop from work to attend personally my baby some even lend their support because I am also like that when my friends are in need of support. What goes around comes around. My friends are from all ages I should say. I have seone in my workplace who treats me like her daughter, I also have who treat me like sisters from another mom, younger ones also come and like my company because I am like an older sister or a mom to them. There was even a time when I sat in a bakery inside a mall and a woman came and shared her story about how bad she felt for her husband who cheated on her as they enter their senior years and she was there to just want to find someone to talk. She was with her children who took her to movie date but she cant help being so lonely and wanted to cry even if they watch a comedy movie hence she go out and ahe told me I seem to be a genuine person to open up with even if she didnt know me so she asked to share a table and cofee time and open her story. I used to feel it both a blessing and a curse as strangers just started opening up on me even when im in a coffee shop or while waiting my plane or bus. But as time go by I accepted that its more of a blessing. Maybe they have seen in me my authenticity. I have first hand experience in dealing with various people due to my work and my passion as well. I am living with my senior parents and even had the chance to be with my grandma and supporting her so that aura somehow is visible to people who just want real people to listen and talk to. Having been a stay at home mom since the pandemic, I realized I can somehow capitalized my gift of friendship. I know how it feels to be needing someone to talk to without being judge as I have my likes that others just dont have, for instance rescuing cats even if its beyond my capacity or choosing to say no to working back with good paid job rate that can pay a nanny and provide my son's needs but stay instead and have times of being financially challenged. I am more assured to be a kinder and a better friend to myself for choosing what I believe is best for my situation and I think this is a good requisite to become a good cyber friend or just a friend for others in general. I also believe there is wisdom in sharing friendship. When you need one. You can count on me.
