I like to engage in polite discussion, even when I disagree with what the other person is saying. I often find that someone else is able to present a valid point that I did not see before (and occasionally I can do the same for the other person). When we do agree, I think it helps to know that we see things the same and that we're not alone. Sometimes, we simply need someone to talk to.
